December 2007 – Casino Nation article – Current Magazine
I was approached by Current Magazine, whose website states “The newspaper and website about public TV and radio in the United States”. They wanted to interview me for an article about my film, Casino Nation. I was a bit apprehensive since this was a real “interview”. I was afraid that my words would be twisted or taken out of context so I was very careful about what I said. I was glad to see that I had nothing to worry about. I will have to say that the reporter did their research about the underlying issues surrounding the casino issue. CLICK ON THE IMAGE BELOW TO READ THE CURRENT MAGAZINE ARTICLE.

October 2006 – Interview – Native Voice TV (San Jose, CA)
After meeting Cihuapilli Rose Amador and Sundust Martinez at the Native American Journalist Association (NAJA), I learned they were hosts of a Native television program called Native Voice TV which airs in San Jose, CA on Comcst Channel 15. They were interested in having me on their show if I was ever in the San Jose area. As it turned out, my program at ABC/Disney was ending and I was going to be in the LA-area. After I completed my program, I flew to San Jose and met with Rose and Sundust. They were recording the actual program after my visit, so they did a recorded interview with me since I couldn’t be in the studio. (I was trying to grow my hair out and I didn’t realize my hair was a nest as I was being interviewed…someone should have told me! ha) NativeVoiceTV programming can been see on youtube.com.
